What I Can Help With
People come to see me with all sorts of pain, injuries and physical problems. Some know exactly what's wrong; others aren't quite sure.
Whether you're dealing with something new, something longstanding or a problem that keeps coming back, you don't need to have all the answers before making an appointment.

Have you been given a diagnosis?
You might already have a name for what's going on, whether that's from your GP, a specialist, a scan or another practitioner.
I regularly see people experiencing pain and movement difficulties associated with conditions and injuries such as:
Tendinopathy, including Achilles, patellar and gluteal tendinopathy
Osteoarthritis
Disc bulges and herniations
Sciatica and nerve-related symptoms
Bursitis
Rotator cuff-related shoulder pain
Patellofemoral pain
Muscle strains and ligament sprains
Whiplash-associated problems
Sports and exercise injuries
A diagnosis can be a useful starting point, but it doesn't always tell the whole story. I'll consider it alongside your symptoms, history and how the problem is affecting you before we work out what to do next.
Sometimes it's not so easy to put a name to it.
Not every problem comes with a clear diagnosis. Sometimes it's more about how it's affecting your life.
You might recognise some of these situations:
The same problem keeps coming back. Things settle for a while, but the pain or discomfort returns.
Pain is getting in the way of exercise or sport. You're unsure what to keep doing, what to change or how to get back to your usual activities.
Everyday activities are becoming harder. Stiffness, pain or reduced confidence in movement is making ordinary things more difficult.
You're not sure how to get moving again. An injury has settled, or you've been inactive for a while, and you're unsure where to start.
You've tried treatment before without much success. You'd like someone to take another look at the problem and consider what might help.
These are all reasonable things to come and talk about.
Not sure whether I can help?
Not every problem fits neatly into a list, and osteopathy won't be the right approach for everyone.

We can have a chat about what's going on and work out whether seeing me makes sense.
